What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Production Team (Crew & Leads) position at BHS Event Production?
BHS Event Production is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Event Production Team for the 2026 holiday season. This season, our team is installing pop-up skating rinks for seasonal events at client locations across multiple states. This is hands-on, outdoor work in a fast-paced environment. If you enjoy building things, working with your hands, and being part of a traveling crew that brings events to life, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive 26' delivery trucks to and from event sites (valid driver's license and clean driving record required)
- Load, unload, and transport rink materials and equipment
- Install equipment, including rink flooring and event components.
- Perform general event setup and teardown
- Assist with on-site problem-solving and adjustments as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Communicate professionally with clients, venue staff, and team members
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Requirements
- Experience driving 26' delivery trucks
- Experience with installation, flooring, or general construction
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting, bending, and standing
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Flexible scheduling, including weekends and long hours during peak season
- Ability to travel for extended periods (November 16 – December 22 peak travel window)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong work ethic, reliability and positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse operations
- Previous experience in event installation or production
- General construction experience
- Experience working in teams
Schedule & Travel
- Peak travel period: November 16 – December 22
- Travel to client sites across 3 states
- Weekend work required
- Long hours, including early mornings and late evenings
- Work is performed outdoors at event sites
Compensation & Expenses
- Wages: $25–$35/hour depending on experience
- Travel expenses: Covered when on the road (lodging, per diem, and transportation as applicable)
