Summary Job Description: Central Sterile Tech Full Time, Second Shift 3pm-11pm Job Description: Ensure the safety and quality of patient care by meticulously sterilizing and preparing medical instruments, equipment, and supplies for use in surgical procedures and patient care areas. Job Duties: Receive used medical instruments, trays and equipment from clinical areas (surgery, central distribution etc.) and perform initial inspection and sorting. Disassemble instruments and equipment as necessary and manually clean them using appropriate techniques, detergents, and cleaning agents. Prepare instruments and equipment for sterilization by assembling trays, sets, and packs according to established protocols. Distribute sterile instruments and supplies to surgical suites, procedural areas, and patient care units as requested, ensuring timely delivery and appropriate documentation.
