Job Summary:
Social work services are provided to patients and their families to meet their medically related social and emotional needs as they impinge on their medical condition, treatment, recovery, and safe transition from one care environment to another. The Social Worker provides social work intervention with the intent to improve or resolve patients’ psychological problems related to their medical care.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures/Certifications/Registrations Required:
- Masters Degree in Social Work from a college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience. State certification preferred within two years of date of hire.
- Five years of healthcare or related social work experience.
