B.H. Inc., a nationally recognized leader in underground utilities and technology solutions, is seeking a dedicated HDD Operator to join our team. This pivotal role is based in the Wasatch Front, UT, and requires heavy travel to various project sites for extended periods of time. BHI will not cover relocation costs for this position.
As an experienced HDD Operator we offer a competetive pay at $25.00 – $39.00 per hour (depending on experience). Additionally, this role offers project-specific Per Diem. Qualifications & Experience
We're looking for a proactive HDD Operator who meets the following:

Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an HDD Operator required.

Extensive knowledge of HDD techniques, ground conditions, and utility locating principles.

Must possess a valid driver's license.

Must be prepared to travel extensively for extended periods of time.

Self-driven, organized, safety-conscious, thorough, and able to think analytically for problem resolution.
Essential Duties & Operations
The HDD Operator works directly with the HDD Foreman to execute projects safely and efficiently:

Drill Operation & Precision: Operate HDD equipment safely, accurately using the locating system to guide the drill bit, track its progress, and ensure precise bore path execution.

Tooling & Maintenance: Perform necessary tooling changes for various ground conditions. Conduct pre-operational checks, routine maintenance, and troubleshoot basic equipment issues.

Utility Safety: Conduct utility pot-holing to safely expose and verify the location of underground utilities before drilling operations.

Support & Compliance: Assist the Foreman with planning and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations related to drilling operations, excavation, and utility work.
