Overview:
BHI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Billing & Coding Intern to support our amazing billing team at BHI Central Office. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in medical billing within the senior living industry. The intern will work closely with the Director of Revenue Cycle, assisting with various tasks and projects to support the organizations current projects and needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn the ins and outs of Medicare, Medicaid, and Insurance within the Long Term Care space.
-SNF Billing
-Consolidated Billing
-Vaccination Billing
Ins and Outs Of Private Pay Billing
-Customer Service
Financial Side of Healthcare
Qualifications:
-Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program related to Financial/Billing, Healthcare administration studies or a related field.
-Strong interest in learning about medical billing and coding, particularly within the senior living sector.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-No prior work experience required; however, a proactive and eager-to-learn attitude is essential.
