In This Role You Will:
- Performs functions to maintain the community’s buildings and grounds in good condition throughout the year.
- Completes work order requisitions as assigned by performing corrective and preventative maintenance duties. Documents resolutions accurately and closes work orders promptly upon completion.
- Evaluates and troubleshoots problems with equipment and systems such as; plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and other systems in buildings throughout the community and in accordance with the technician’s scope of expertise, education and/or training.
- Assists contractors with their work, at the direction of the supervisor
- Performs renovation and turnover maintenance; including cleaning, patching, scraping, painting, to ensure units are completed on schedule and in accordance with the resident’s selections
- Replace HVAC filters, light bulbs, services water softeners and performs all other necessary repairs and/or maintenance to the building, equipment, and furnishings.
- Installs appliances and other equipment, hangs pictures and assembles and/or disassembles equipment and furnishings.
- Picks up supplies and/or equipment, unload trucks, receives merchandise, and stores supplies and merchandise in an organized manner and in the designated storage areas.
- Performs all work in a safe manner and uses safety equipment as required; secures worksites from safety hazards as necessary.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Shift Details:
- Full time: Monday- Friday, 8am- 4pm. NO on call rotation, weekends, or holidays.
- Must be available at all times to respond to emergencies as needed.
Who You Are:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience using basic hand and electrical tools.
- Must be able to acquire sufficient knowledge and learn new skills through on-the-job training and instructions to satisfactorily meet job performance requirements.
