In This Role You Will:
- Contributes to the development of written assessments, care plans, and documents progress with each resident
- Assist with the development of the monthly calendar, ensuring it includes daily evening, holiday, and weekend events and activities.
- Assists with planning the programs including educational, entertainment, spiritual, and physical activities, and programs.
- Posts activity reminders to encourage participation.
- Decorates designated areas for special events and parties and provides necessary assistance to residents, helps with preparation and clean up for such events.
- Assists in coordinating transportation of residents to outside programs, events, or medical appointments.
- Maintains a variety of stimulating activities and supplies for residents who choose and/or can perform activities independently.
- Effectively manages problems with difficult or disturbed residents, family, or sponsor/surrogate.
Shift Details:
- Fulltime Day shift 9:00a -5:00p every other weekend and every other holiday.
Who You Are:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; basic computer-related skills and the ability to learn how to operate office and audio-video equipment.
- Previous activity experience in a Skilled Nursing or Assisted Living facility.
