In This Role You Will:
- Follow community’s policies and procedures for handling, storing, processing, and transporting linen and residents’ personal laundry.
- Complies with infection control requirements of the laundry and uses appropriate personal protective equipment and supplies, as necessary
- Establishes and adheres to laundry schedule to ensure adequate supply of clean laundry is available in all required areas. Assigns schedules/duties for laundry team members as appropriate.
- Sorts and loads laundry as designated.
- Washes linen, clothing and other items and records weights for each load.
- Irons linen and clothing
- Reads labels on personal laundry prior to washing
- Reports any damaged or lost clothing articles to the supervisor. Arranges for repairs and/or replacements, as necessary.
- Ensures residents’ garments are properly labeled and labels items, as appropriate.
- Manages inventory of linen supply and reports shortages to the supervisor
Shift Details:
- Fulltime Day shift 6:30a- 2:30p, every other weekend and holiday
Who You Are:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- The ability to acquire additional sufficient knowledge and learn new skills through on-the- job training and instructions to satisfactorily meet job performance requirements.
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional laundry experience.
