Environmental Services Supervisor

Clark is looking for an Environmental Services Supervisor to lead our dedicated Housekeeping team at Keller Lake! In this role you will ensure that housekeeping services are maintained at the highest level of customer satisfaction in our senior living community. You will lead and train all staff to ensure that all State and Federal guidelines are being met and Clark is ready to shine! This is a working supervisor position that includes cleaning residential apartments on a monthly schedule.

This opportunity will be based at our Keller Lake campus, located at 2431 Forest Hill Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.

In This Role You Will:

1. Provide direct supervision and leadership to environmental services staff (2-3 employees), including scheduling, training, and performance/attendance management.
   • Trains, supervises, and evaluates personnel within the department using facility approved written forms
   • Participates in the hiring process for the environmental services department
   • Responsible for employee disciplinary actions and terminations
   • Uses honesty and accuracy in evaluating job performance of department personnel
   • Administer personnel policies and/or all applicable facility policies in a fair and consistent manner
   • Reviews and approves timecards for direct reports
2. Complete Independent Living apartment cleanings according to a monthly schedule. 
3. Set clear expectations for performance, conduct regular inspections, and provide ongoing feedback to ensure quality standards are met.
4. Coordinate daily environmental services activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to established protocols and standards.
5. Monitor inventory levels for cleaning supplies and linens, replenishing as needed and maintaining accurate records.
6. Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms, common areas, and other facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
7. Address any maintenance issues or cleanliness concerns promptly, coordinating with maintenance staff and other departments as needed.
8. Collaborate with other departments to address residents' needs and concerns related to environmental services in a timely and professional manner.
9. Build positive relationships with residents, family members, and staff, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in service delivery.

Who You Are:

• Have a High School Diploma or GED
• Available to work Monday-Friday, approx. 8:00am - 4:30pm (some flexibility of shift time)
• Two years of experience in a leadership/supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping practices, regulations, and standards
