Clark Retirement is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to help lead our 39-bed Skilled Nursing Facility. If you're a Registered Nurse with a heart for service and a head for leadership, this is your opportunity to influence care, mentor future leaders, and build meaningful connections with residents, families, and staff alike.
As ADON, you’ll play a key role in driving clinical excellence, supporting nursing staff across settings, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You'll work closely with our Director of Nursing and other nurse leaders to support both day-to-day operations and long-term care goals.

In This Role You Will:
Leadership & Team Support

Provide guidance to the nursing team, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care.

Support hiring, onboarding, and coaching of nursing staff.

Deliver timely performance feedback and evaluations in line with Clark’s values and policies.

Participate in staffing and scheduling oversight alongside the staff scheduler.

Foster a collaborative and positive work environment across all care settings.
Care Planning & Coordination

Partner with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.

Participate in care conferences and ensure consistent communication with families and providers.

Act as a clinical resource and advocate for residents’ wellbeing.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Support quality assurance initiatives, MDS, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist with regulatory surveys and audits, providing accurate documentation and follow-up.
- Monitor clinical indicators to improve care outcomes and resident satisfaction.
Who You Are:

Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan

Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in long-term care or senior living

Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred

Willingness to participate in on-call rotation with the nurse management team
