Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out procedures, and ensure efficient patient flow throughout the clinic
- Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Open Dental
- Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing
- Maintain patient records with meticulous attention to clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations
- Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, provide information, and direct calls appropriately
- Assist with insurance verification, intake procedures, and documentation review to support clinical staff
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental or medical front office environment is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of health insurance processes, including Medicare, Medicaid and Dental codes
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
