Registered Nurse (RN) – Mobile Wound Care
Location: Chicago, IL (Chicagoland Area)

Overview
BH Wound Care is expanding its mobile wound care team in Illinois, and we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Chicago-based team. In this full-time, field-based role, you will deliver advanced wound care treatments directly to patients in their homes or care facilities across the greater Chicagoland area.
This position offers the autonomy of mobile nursing combined with the support of a collaborative clinical team dedicated to healing complex wounds faster than the national average. Flexibility is essential, as the role includes weekend and on-call shifts, along with reliable transportation for travel throughout Chicago and nearby suburbs.
Schedule & Compensation
- Monday–Friday core schedule with flexible hours and a manageable caseload
- Weekend/on-call availability: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings (5 PM–10 PM) with assigned patient visits (~8 visits on Saturday and Sunday)
- Competitive hourly pay, with potential for bonuses and mileage reimbursement or company vehicle options

Primary Service Areas
Serving Chicago and surrounding suburbs, including:
- Downtown Chicago
- North Side
- South Side
- West Side
- Near North/Near West/Near South areas
- Suburbs such as Oak Park, Evanston, Skokie, Cicero, Berwyn, and others within reasonable travel radius
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive wound assessments and deliver evidence-based wound care in patient homes, assisted living, and long-term care facilities
- Develop, implement, and manage individualized wound care plans
- Document patient progress accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record system
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound care techniques and prevention
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain an efficient schedule, balancing travel time with patient visits throughout the Chicago region
- Uphold BH Wound Care’s mission by providing compassionate, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience (home health, wound care, or related specialty preferred)
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS or ALS preferred depending on patient population
- Experience with electronic medical records systems
- Reliable transportation and valid Illinois driver’s license
- Strong time-management skills and comfort working independently in a mobile environment
- Bilingual Spanish speaker preferred but not required
