Responsibilities
- Assist with electrical work including wiring, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment using schematics and ohmmeters
- Support HVAC system repair, building interior maintenance, plumbing system maintenance, and plumbing repairs
- Operate hand tools safely and effectively for various maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and equipment repairs
- Help maintain facilities equipment including MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) supplies and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) records
- Follow safety protocols during welding activities and when working with electrical systems or mechanical components
- Contribute to supervising team projects by supporting leadership in daily tasks and safety compliance
- Support the inspection of facilities equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
Experience
- Basic electrical experience or coursework related to electrical systems preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Familiarity with hand tools, schematics, and mechanical knowledge beneficial
- Experience or interest in HVAC systems repair, plumbing maintenance, welding or building interior upkeep is a plus
- Prior exposure to manufacturing environments or facilities maintenance roles is advantageous
- Strong communication skills in English for clear understanding of technical instructions and safety procedures
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed steps for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues
- Supervising or leadership experience is a bonus but not mandatory; a proactive attitude to learn and grow is key
