Senior Information Technology Consultant

Position Summary

The Senior Technology Consultant serves as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders by leading technology strategy, digital transformation, systems implementation, and process improvement initiatives. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to assess organizational needs, design technology solutions, manage complex projects, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

The Senior Technology Consultant partners with executive leadership, business users, and technical teams to evaluate current-state environments, define future-state technology strategies, and implement innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency, data quality, security, and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Consulting

• Partner with clients and business leaders to understand strategic objectives and technology requirements.
• Assess current technology environments and recommend scalable, cost-effective solutions.
• Develop technology roadmaps aligned with business goals and industry best practices.
• Provide subject matter expertise on enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud technologies, data management, and digital transformation initiatives.

Solution Design & Implementation

• Lead the planning, design, configuration, implementation, and optimization of technology solutions.
• Develop business and functional requirements, process flows, and solution documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment of new technologies.
• Oversee system integration efforts and ensure compatibility across enterprise platforms.
• Support application testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment planning, and production rollouts.

Project Leadership

• Lead multiple concurrent technology projects from initiation through implementation.
• Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress and communicate status to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage project scope, priorities, and deliverables while ensuring quality outcomes.

Business Process Improvement

• Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements.
• Design streamlined workflows that improve productivity and user experience.
• Recommend technology-enabled process improvements that support organizational growth.
• Promote continuous improvement methodologies and best practices.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with executives, department leaders, technical teams, and external partners.
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and solution design meetings.
• Present recommendations, project updates, and executive-level reports.
• Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.

Data & Analytics

• Support enterprise reporting, business intelligence, and data governance initiatives.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics to support decision-making.
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance with organizational standards.

Change Management & Training

• Develop change management strategies that promote successful technology adoption.
• Create user documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
• Deliver end-user training and provide post-implementation support.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure technology solutions comply with security, privacy, regulatory, and organizational standards.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Support audit readiness and governance activities.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree or MBA preferred.

Experience

• 7–10 years of technology consulting, systems implementation, business analysis, or enterprise technology experience.
• Experience leading digital transformation and enterprise technology initiatives.
• Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional projects.
• Consulting or professional services experience preferred.
