Role Overview:

BGC Capital Partners is seeking a technically strong, motivated developer with 5 years of work experience to be a part of a team building a Cross Platform HTML5/JS based Front End for the Next GenerationLow Latency Trading Platform. The role entails building Highly performant UI Components and libraries to be able to run on any Browser or Chromium based Containers like Electron, OpenFin etc.

Responsibilities:

• Building highly performant Cross Platform Front End application using HTML5/JavaScript and React.js
• Developing reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

Qualifications:

• Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and related API's.
• Deep functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc ..) is needed to be successful in this position.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Experience in Chromium/Electron and/or OpenFin is a big
• Thorough understanding of WebSockets
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux) and React Hooks
• Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authentication/authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token/OIDC/OAuth2.0 etc
• Familiarity with code versioning tools, like GIT.
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Strong grasp of Security Principles

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required

Salary: $180,000 Min - $ 200,000Max

• The expected base salary for this position ranges from $180,000 to $200,000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
