CNC Machinist

Honolulu, HI | $135,000 – $150,000 | Relocation Assistance

BG Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer to support advanced manufacturing operations in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is a hands-on position for an experienced machinist with advanced Mastercam, SolidWorks, and Vericut capabilities and a strong background in complex multi-axis machining.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking complex parts from drawing through programming, setup, verification, machining, and final production while working with tight tolerances and challenging materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize Mastercam programs for complex mill-turn and multi-axis machining operations
• Program, set up, and optimize dual-spindle lathes with live tooling and Y-axis capabilities
• Develop advanced 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining strategies, including Unified, Blade, and Flow toolpaths
• Design and model fixtures, parts, and workholding in SolidWorks
• Develop and execute Vericut simulations for multi-axis milling and mill-turn operations, including collision detection, gouge checking, machine verification, material removal, and cycle-time optimization
• Validate probe routines, sub-spindle transfers, and multi-axis synchronization prior to production
• Develop complete manufacturing processes from engineering drawings through finished precision parts
• Troubleshoot and refine machining processes for materials including steel, stainless steel, Inconel, titanium, and aluminum
• Support safe, efficient, and repeatable machining processes while maintaining high quality standards

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with Mastercam
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, including part, fixture, and workholding design
• Significant experience with 5-axis machining and advanced Mastercam toolpaths
• Experience with dual-spindle lathes, Y-axis machining, and live tooling
• Strong Vericut experience, including machine models, complex multi-axis simulation, collision detection, and optimization
• Demonstrated experience machining Inconel, titanium, stainless steel, and other challenging materials
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and develop machining processes from initial planning through production
• Ability to satisfy applicable DoD background and security requirements
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, if required for the position
• Military or veteran experience is preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $135,000 – $150,000 per year
