BG Staffing is seeking a skilled and dependable Certified Maintenance Technician to support a multifamily apartment community in Shawnee, KS 66203. This is an excellent opportunity for a maintenance professional with strong technical skills who takes pride in providing quality repairs and outstanding customer service to residents.
Position Details- Role: Certified Maintenance Technician
- Location: Shawnee, KS 66203
- Pay: $24.00/hour
- Schedule: 4–5 days per week (must include Friday), Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch
- Opportunity Type: Contract-to-Hire
- Complete resident work orders efficiently and professionally
- Perform skilled maintenance tasks, including:
- HVAC troubleshooting and repair (EPA certification required)
- Electrical repairs
- Plumbing repairs
- Appliance diagnostics and repair
- Carpentry and general maintenance
- Assist with unit turns and make-ready preparation
- Maintain community grounds, common areas, and amenities
- Respond to resident service requests with professionalism and excellent customer service
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards
- EPA or HVAC Certification required
- Previous apartment maintenance experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Strong communication and customer service skills
