Job Summary
The General Manager is responsible for meeting and exceeding studio revenue goals and new membership sales targets by executing strategic community outreach, in-studio lead generation, and generating member referrals. Under the management of a Franchise Owner and with support from the Corporate BFT Support Team, the GM must exemplify leadership qualities across all areas of the business. You must be able to build lasting relationships with prospective and current members to build a strong ambassadorship and retain members. The General Manager is rooted in sales, marketing, and operations while upholding our mission to fuel an energetic communal experience.
Responsibilities
- Align with the studio owner's daily, weekly, and monthly revenue targets
- Lead generation, including grassroots marketing, external prospecting, and community networking
- Implement sales process to schedule prospects into Intro classes
- Membership sales, including overcoming objections and prospect follow-up
- Responsible for creating 3 to 4 daily weekly media posts on Instagram & Facebook
- Manage staff schedule and hold team accountable for daily KPI execution
- Directly communicate and coordinate with all vendors
- Audit sales process to ensure proper execution
- Identify areas of opportunity in the sales process and develop a training curriculum to ensure improvement of team member skillsets
- Ensuring studio retail/products are stocked with accurate inventory counts
- Supervise, train, and develop the Sales Associate team
- Hire, manage, and train team members
- Display proficiency in ClubReady, including revenue & attendance reports
- Independently make decisions related to high-level customer service situations
- Collect outstanding membership dues and resolve membership billing errors
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the studio
- Enforce BFT’s policies, procedures, and brand standards
- Ensure all forms, administrative supplies, and studio supplies are stocked
- Schedule and participate in lead generation and networking events
- Strategically manage marketing campaigns to deliver lead goals for the studio
Experience
- 2 years of fitness membership sales or similar recurring membership services
- Confident in generating membership sales and training team members on sales processes
- Must be fluent in English, have excellent communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone, and via email
- Experience posting stories, videos, and images on social media (Instagram & Facebook)
- Ability to excel and adapt in a fast-changing, diverse environment
- Ability to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgment
- An affinity and passion for fitness
- Solid writing and grammar skills
- Organized, proficient in data management, prioritization, and meeting deadlines
- Professional, punctual, and reliable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
- Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients, vendors, and the public
- Proficiency with computers, CRMs, POS, and other studio management software
Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
