- Report to work on time in a clean and complete proper uniform
- Greet all customers with a smile and a verbal greeting
- Promptly seat the guests by knowing seating availability and wait list; talk with guests on the way to the table
- Provide menus and present specials to guests.
- Stay available to guests and keep an eye out for servers who may need help
- Ask guests about their meal and experience and thank them for coming in. Invite them to return.
- Answer the telephone within 3 rings and ask permission to place on hold.
- Help with bussing and resetting tables
- Check restrooms for cleanliness every 30 minutes
- Complete the position checklist while stocking and preparing the unit for the next shift.
- Using all tools provided by the manager keep the work area clean at all times.
- Bring all items of concern to the attention of the manager immediately, especially safety concerns and customer service complaints
- Know your duties and the duties of coworkers to maximize teamwork throughout the day.
- Communicate effectively with other team members.
- Have a positive attitude during your shift.
- Basic reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required.
- Mobility required during the entire shift
- Work as part of a team and help in other areas if need be
