CADD/Drafting Technician

The Primary Duties and Responsibilities for this Position are as follows:

• Operate AutoCAD Civil 3D software
• Create and edit TIN surfaces within Civil 3D
• Create and edit pipe networks within Civil 3D
• Process survey data.
• Pay close attention to detail and perform mathematical calculations related to surveying and boundaries
• Produce maps as requested.
• Ability to write and understand legal descriptions.
• Operate office equipment such as wide format plotters and scanners.
• Produce drawings from written instructions or sketches.
• Experience with drafting and understanding boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, form sketches, subdivision plats is preferred.
• Understanding and experience with City of New Orleans, St. Tammany Parish, and LA DOTD standards is preferred.
• MicroStation experience is a plus.

Other Requirements for this Position Include:

• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to work
• Associates Degree or Certification in Drafting and Design OR a minimum of 3 years related experience
• Good verbal communication skills
• Must be able to pass a drug screen upon hire
• Attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential

The work with this role will take place in an office setting.

This role is classified as a Full-Time, Hourly position with a pay range of $22-$35 per hour. Pay is commensurate with experience.
