Beztak is looking to hire a Sous Chef join our team. The Sous Chef is responsible for preparing and assisting the Executive Chef with kitchen operations. This position also assists with maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare and cook meals for residents.
- Assist the Executive Chef with overseeing daily kitchen operations.
- Maintain the highest quality food products and service for our seniors.
- Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with state, local, and regulatory agencies as they relate to Food Service
- Manage the entire kitchen in the Executive Chef’s absence.
- The sous chef could be the last line of defense to make sure each piece of food is safe, prepared correctly and tasty.
- Operating a company vehicle or personal vehicle (as required) to perform job duties. Candidates must be willing and able to drive for work-related purposes as needed.
- Working in a high-pressure environment, interacting with difficult customers/vendors, handling urgent matters, resolving conflicts, having effective interpersonal skills

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or an equivalent combination of education and 2-3 years’ experience in food preparation
- One to three years of related experience
- Current ServSafe Manager Certification
BACKGROUND CHECK PROCESS:
Beztak and All Seasons complete pre-employment testing in accordance with company policies and all state-requirements. This includes criminal background checks, fingerprinting (where applicable) and drug testing.

Arizona applicants will need to obtain a fingerprint clearance card, TB test and clear the Adult Protective Services registry.
