Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Elementary Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a love for education from the very beginning of their academic journey. As an Elementary Teacher, you will play a key role in nurturing the whole child, promoting positive behavior, and collaborating with families and colleagues to deliver an enriching educational experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that promote literacy education, math skills, science exploration, social studies, and creative arts.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management techniques that encourage respectful behavior and active participation.
  • Incorporate Montessori learning technology tools to enhance instruction and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations and ongoing observations.
  • Provide individualized support through tutoring or targeted interventions for students needing extra assistance in reading, writing, or numeracy skills.
  • Collaborate with special education teams to support children with autism or other learning differences, ensuring inclusive practices are upheld.
  • Engage in curriculum development efforts to keep instructional materials current, relevant, and aligned with educational best practices such as Montessori or early childhood education frameworks.
  • Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants by sharing best practices in behavior management, lesson planning, and classroom organization.
  • Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral incidents while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and upcoming activities through meetings or written reports.
  • Support school-wide initiatives including library services integration, early intervention programs, or school events that promote community engagement.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of Proven K-12 classroom experience working with young children in an educational setting; prior private school experience is a plus. Otherwise, a bachelor's degree is required
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education methodologies such as Montessori or other progressive approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math instruction, physical education (teaching physical education), and social-emotional learning strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, students, and families.
  • Experience working with children with diverse needs including those requiring special education accommodations or working with people with autism.
  • Proficiency in learning technology tools used for instruction and assessment purposes.
  • Skills in behavior management techniques that foster a respectful classroom climate.
  • Ability to perform proofreading of instructional materials for accuracy and clarity; writing skills are essential for report writing and parent communication.
  • Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early elementary grades.
  • Experience in tutoring or providing early intervention services is advantageous.

Pay: $30,870.00 - $36,000.00 per year
