Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language therapy services to children in a supportive and engaging environment.
The ideal candidate is patient, energetic, and experienced in working with children with diverse developmental and sensory needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Provide one-on-one and small group therapy sessions for pediatric clients
- Support children with speech, language, articulation, and communication challenges
- Work effectively with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and sensory processing differences
- Use sensory-friendly strategies and behavior support techniques during sessions
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate treatment records
- Prepare therapy materials and activities tailored to each child’s needs
- Communicate effectively with families regarding progress and home practice
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment
Experience
- Active SLPA license in the state of Texas
- Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, and sensory processing challenges is required or highly preferred
- Familiarity with sensory regulation strategies, behavioral supports, and play-based therapy approaches
- Experience in pediatric clinic, school, or early intervention settings
- Knowledge of AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication) tools
- Ability to create fun, engaging, sensory-friendly therapy sessions
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work under supervision
- CPR certification
Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday 9-6pm
- No weekends (unless desired/optional)
