We’re searching for a high-performing Tax Accounting Analyst I to join our Insurance Accounting Team, a group of hardworking, analytical professionals who are passionate about solving problems, delivering results, and growing their expertise.

Your Role
As a Tax Accounting Analyst I, you’ll provide critical support to your team and clients through journal entries, tax filings, financial reporting, and analysis. You’ll build the foundation for a career in insurance accounting and tax compliance by mastering core responsibilities and developing your technical skills in a specialized and high-demand field.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Tax Support
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Maintain general ledgers, trial balances, and client-specific records
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns and related IRS filings
- Develop and maintain quarterly tax estimates and payment schedules
- Generate financial statements on GAAP or statutory basis
Client Service and Process Management
- Use QuickBooks and internal systems to manage client data
- Meet multiple deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax codes and accounting standards
Professional Development
- Build knowledge of financial statements, reinsurance structures, and internal systems
- Collaborate with your team and contribute to a culture of accountability and growth
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience in tax, accounting, or financial reporting
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and QuickBooks
- Familiarity with SAP, GAAP, and IRS Tax Code/Regulations is preferred
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- A desire to learn, take ownership, and grow your career in a fast-paced environment
