We are looking for a talented Website Designer & SEO Specialist to help us rebuild and optimize our online presence. We are seeking someone who can redesign our current website, improve user experience, and ensure we rank higher on Google for relevant local searches.You will work closely with our Marketing Coordinator to execute a clear plan for a modern, fast, search-optimized website that aligns with our brand and supports our growth.Key ResponsibilitiesWebsite Redesign & DevelopmentRedesign the existing website for a fresh, modern, mobile-responsive lookPay special focus on certain landing pages, such as Services and optimize accordinglyImprove navigation, layout, visuals, and overall user experienceEnsure pages load quickly, are technically sound, and follow best practicesBuild or migrate the site using a platform that suits our needsSEO Strategy & OptimizationConduct a full SEO audit and recommend improvementsImplement strong on-page SEO (meta tags, alt text, page structure, keyword placement)Optimize site speed, mobile performance, and technical SEO componentsResearch and target keywords such as local martial arts classes, yoga classes, adult and kids yoga, kids karate, self-defense training, summer camps, etc.Set up and optimize Google Business Profile, Google Search Console, and analytics toolsBuild our social presence and recommend changesProvide recommendations for ongoing SEO-friendly contentCollaboration & CommunicationWork in partnership with the Digital Content Manager to align on goals, timelines, and deliverablesCommunicate progress clearly and proactivelyProvide recommendations in plain language (no jargon)Be comfortable working with a small-business team that values clarity, trust, and resultsQualificationsProven experience designing and building websites (portfolio required)Strong understanding of SEOboth on-page and technicalExperience optimizing websites for local search (a bonus)Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a supervisorComfortable making suggestions and guiding a non-technical teamKnowledge of martial arts, fitness, or wellness industries is a plus (not required)How to ApplyPlease submit:A short intro about yourselfWebsite portfolio linksExamples of SEO wins (keyword rankings, before/after improvements, etc.)Hourly rate or project fee expectationsThis is a remote position.
