Service Technician

Beyond Housing, the Housing Authority of the City of Bristol, VA, is seeking a skilled, dependable Service Technician to join our dedicated maintenance team. This critical role is responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and quality of our residential properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs across multi-family residential units
• Execute electrical, plumbing, carpentry, sheetrock repair, and painting tasks
• Maintain and service household appliances (refrigerators, stoves, water heaters, HVAC units)
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems
• Respond to emergency repair needs during scheduled on-call rotations
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents with professionalism and courtesy

Required Skills:

• Broad mechanical knowledge applicable to residential construction and home maintenance
• Versatile repair capabilities across multiple trade disciplines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Position Details:

• Experienced Service Technician preferred
• Salary Range: $42,000 - $52,000 (based on skills and experience)
