Beyond Housing, the Housing Authority of the City of Bristol, VA, is seeking a dependable General Laborer to join our facilities team. This essential entry-level role is focused on creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in our main offices and, on occasion, in the common areas of our residential buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform janitorial and cleaning duties in the main administrative offices
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize restrooms, hallways, meeting rooms, and shared spaces
- Occasionally provide cleaning support in residential building common areas
- Collect and dispose of trash and recycling materials as needed
- Restock restroom and cleaning supplies
- Report any maintenance needs or safety concerns to supervisors
- Interact courteously with staff, residents, and visitors
Required Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely in various settings
