Beyond Gravity is seeking talented and experienced Aerospace Technician to join our diverse team. We’re looking for responsible applicants with self-starting friendly attitudes that can work as a team member or independently. Responsible for material preparation, bonding, and manufacturing assembly of mechanical structures used for satellites.
Your Mission
- Must be able to follow written procedures, work instructions and interpret technical drawings to assemble
- Perform material preparation for the bonding of mechanical structures used for satellites
- Perform duties associated with the use of an Industrial Press to bond mechanical structures
- Perform operations associated with the machining of metal using an Industrial Cutter
- Perform chemical coating, adhesive preparation and application and finishing of aerospace hardware
- Operate powered hand tools as required
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedure and regulations
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements
- Perform in-line quality control inspections during assembly of mechanical structures
- Support the non-conformance process and secure measures for root cause analyses, corrective and preventive
- Support continuous improvements in concerned manufacturing processes to deliver in line with customer
Your Story
- Trade School, A.S. degree preferred
- Demonstrate 4 years of previous hands-on aerospace manufacturing experience
- Focused on Safety
- Attention to detail and judgement
- Willing to identify defects during assembly to support process improvements
- Demonstrates insight into quality and safety standards including AS9100 and OSHA or similar
- Space or Aerospace experience
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma knowledge/experience
- Mechanical Aptitude
