Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Behavioral Health Technician role based in Kingston, PA. The Behavioral Health Technician will implement ABA-based behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or other clinical supervisor in home, school, clinic, and community settings. Daily responsibilities include collecting and recording behavioral data, supporting skill acquisition programs (such as communication, social skills, and daily living skills), and using proactive strategies to prevent and manage challenging behaviors. The role includes collaborating with families, caregivers, and educators to ensure consistent implementation of behavior plans and providing clear, respectful communication about client progress. The Behavioral Health Technician will also participate in team meetings, ongoing training, and professional development to maintain high-quality, ethical care.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge and practical skills in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Ability to implement Behavioral Intervention strategies in line with ABA principles and treatment goals.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written interaction with children, families, and team members.
- Background or coursework in Psychology or a related human services field.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental, behavioral, or learning differences is highly beneficial.
- Capacity to follow clinical direction, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold client confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Ability to stand, move, and engage in active play with children, and to work on-site consistently in Kingston, PA.
- Willingness to complete required training (e.g., RBT credential, crisis management, CPR/First Aid) as supported by the organization.
