We are a growing behavioral healthcare organization dedicated to providing high-quality ABA services and compassionate care to the individuals and families we serve. We are seeking an experienced and people-focused HR Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and understands the unique staffing, onboarding, credentialing, and employee support needs within ABA or similar clinical settings.

Candidates with previous experience supporting ABA providers, behavioral health organizations, mental health clinics, healthcare practices, or other highly regulated clinical environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

Position Summary:

The HR Generalist serves as the primary point of contact for employee-related matters while supporting recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee engagement, and day-to-day HR operations. This role plays a critical part in creating a positive employee experience and ensuring consistent support across all departments.

The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, proactive, and experienced in handling the fast-moving demands of healthcare or ABA staffing environments.

Preferred Experience:

Strong preference will be given to candidates who have experience in:

  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) organizations
  • Behavioral health or mental health settings
  • Healthcare staffing and onboarding
  • Credentialing and compliance documentation
  • High-volume recruiting in clinical environments
  • Supporting RBTs, BCBAs, therapists, or clinical staff

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, post, and manage job advertisements across multiple recruiting platforms
  • Screen, interview, and process applicants
  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires, including required employment documentation and compliance items
  • Conduct background checks and assist with pre-employment processes
  • Maintain ongoing employee records and documentation for accreditation, licensing, and insurance requirements
  • Provide consistent follow-up and support to employees during their first 90 days
  • Assist with employee relations by responding to employee questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, appreciation events, recognition programs, and morale-building activities
  • Assist with professional development and training coordination
  • Ensure HR practices remain compliant with federal and state employment laws
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of HR, recruiting, office management, or employee relations experience
  • Previous ABA, healthcare, behavioral health, or clinical office experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee onboarding processes
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Comfortable learning and adapting to new systems and software
  • PHR or SHRM certification is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office-based in a professional, climate-controlled environment
  • Regular use of computers and office equipment
  • Occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 lbs

Pay: $55,000.00 per year
