Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and ensure client safety at all times
- Assist with non-medical activities of daily living
- Engage clients in recreational and skill-building activities
- Support communication and social interaction
- Prepare simple meals as needed
- Follow Individual Program Plan (IPP) goals and guidelines
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Document services provided during each shift
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
- Document care activities thoroughly and communicate effectively with family members, healthcare providers, and team members
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Previous caregiving or human services experience preferred
- Ability to pass background check (DOJ fingerprint clearance)
- TB clearance required
- Must be reliable, patient, and compassionate
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions
- Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes is highly desirable
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; willingness to obtain necessary certifications if not already held
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory care needs is advantageous

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Caregiving: 1 year (Required)
- In-home Respite: 1 year (Preferred)
