The Event Production Director is both strategic and hands-on—setting the tone for projects, guiding internal teams, managing external partners, and ensuring every experience reflects Beyond 8’s high standards of excellence and intention.
This role is hybrid/remote, with New York or Los Angeles-based candidates preferred. The position requires time in the NY market for key clients and collaboration in-office 1–2 days per week.
We lead with intention, accountability, and respect. Our environment is collaborative, fast-moving, and deeply people-centered. We value proactive communication, thoughtful problem-solving, and leaders who take ownership of their work while supporting the growth of others.

- Oversee all event logistics, timelines, and production workflows from concept through strike
- Lead client relationships with confidence, discretion, and professionalism
- Communicate clearly and consistently across internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders
- Manage and oversee vendors including fabrication, AV/lighting, security, permitting, rentals, catering, and more
- Develop, track, and manage event production budgets from $250K to $5M
- Ensure all events are executed on-site with precision, professionalism, and care
- Set expectations, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines across multiple teams and markets
- Act as on-site leadership to problem-solve in real time and ensure seamless delivery
You are an experienced production leader who thrives in dynamic environments and takes pride in delivering thoughtful, well-executed work. You are highly knowledgeable, deeply committed, and bring a strong sense of ownership to everything you do.
You value collaboration, lead with empathy, and communicate with clarity. You are as comfortable managing high-level client conversations as you are navigating the details behind the scenes, including the difficult topics.
You care about people, process, and outcomes—and it shows.

- Proven experience managing multiple events across different markets
- Extensive experience overseeing large-scale event setup, execution, and strike

- Experience working with high-profile clients with discretion and professionalism
- Willingness and ability to travel based on event schedules
- Flexible PTO
