What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Market Representative – Spirits position at Bevrise Partners?
About Bevrise
Bevrise Partners is an Oregon-based beverage sales and marketing company representing spirits brands across the state.
We are expanding our Southern Oregon field organization and are looking for a part-time Field Market Representative (FMR) who enjoys being in the market, building relationships, selling, and helping brands grow.
This position is designed to provide focused, consistent account coverage in Southern Oregon. The representative will have assigned accounts and market priorities and will be expected to maintain regular field activity, strong follow-up, and measurable sales execution.
At Bevrise, everyone sells. Field Market Representatives are expected to identify opportunities, win new placements, protect existing business, strengthen account relationships, and contribute directly to market growth.
The Role
The Field Market Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with bars, restaurants, liquor stores, and other key accounts throughout an assigned Southern Oregon territory.
The strongest candidates will already have established relationships within the Southern Oregon spirits, hospitality, or beverage community. We are also interested in experienced sales and hospitality professionals who have a demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships quickly and develop new business.
You will spend most of your working time in the field making account calls, identifying sales opportunities, following up on leads, supporting existing placements, and professionally representing our spirits brands.
The goal is straightforward: protect existing business, win new placements, increase account coverage, and create measurable market growth.
What You’ll Do
- Build and strengthen relationships with bars, restaurants, liquor stores, owners, managers, bartenders, and beverage decision-makers.
- Develop new relationships and expand Bevrise coverage into additional accounts.
- Sell represented spirits brands into new accounts.
- Grow placements and distribution within existing accounts.
- Protect existing business through regular account contact and proactive follow-up.
- Identify competitive threats, lost placements, and emerging opportunities.
- Present products and communicate compelling brand stories.
- Identify opportunities for well placements, back-bar placements, menu features, displays, and other sales programs.
- Conduct tastings and support promotional events when appropriate.
- Help secure and maintain shelf, floor, and display space in liquor stores.
- Install and maintain point-of-sale materials when needed.
- Follow up promptly on account opportunities, requests, and commitments.
- Capture useful market intelligence regarding competitors, pricing, account changes, and customer needs.
- Record account visits and activity using Bevrise field technology.
- Maintain accurate notes and follow-up information after each account visit.
- Work with Bevrise management to prioritize accounts, routes, programs, and sales opportunities.
- Assist with supplier initiatives and special market programs.
- Perform merchandising and execution work as needed to support account and brand objectives.
Everyone Sells
At Bevrise, job titles define primary responsibilities, but they do not create silos.
Our expectation is simple:
Everyone sells. Everyone executes. Everyone contributes to growth.
Field Market Representatives are expected to take ownership of their accounts and territory, recognize opportunities, solve problems, follow through on commitments, and consistently move the business forward.
What We’re Looking For
We are especially interested in candidates who bring:
- Existing relationships with Southern Oregon bars, restaurants, liquor stores, bartenders, owners, managers, or beverage decision-makers.
- Spirits, beverage, distributor, supplier, hospitality, or outside-sales experience.
- A demonstrated ability to build new relationships and turn opportunities into placements and account growth.
- Strong territory ownership and independent field-sales skills.
- Consistent follow-through and account-management habits.
- The confidence to identify opportunities and ask for the business.
- Strong local market knowledge.
Existing industry relationships are preferred, and candidates with strong sales ability, local market knowledge, and relevant hospitality or beverage experience are encouraged to apply.
Successful Candidates Will Be
- Relationship-oriented and results-driven.
- Comfortable asking for the sale.
- Able to leverage existing relationships while continuing to build new ones.
- Reliable and accountable.
- Organized with strong follow-up habits.
- Comfortable working independently in the field.
- Able to manage assigned accounts and changing priorities.
- Confident communicating with owners, managers, bartenders, buyers, and store personnel.
- Comfortable using mobile apps and technology to document field activity.
- Professional in appearance and communication.
- Motivated by winning new business and helping brands grow.
- Comfortable being measured on field activity, follow-up, placements, and account development.
Compensation & Schedule
$26–$35 per hour.
This is a part-time hourly field position with a schedule built around assigned accounts, market priorities, and the best days and times to reach customers.
The role is intended to provide consistent local market coverage rather than occasional promotional work.
Additional hours and responsibilities may become available as the territory and business grow.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned Southern Oregon territory.
- Smartphone capable of running company field applications.
- Ability to safely lift and move spirits cases and promotional materials when needed.
- Ability to work independently and manage an assigned field schedule.
- Must meet all legal requirements applicable to working with alcoholic beverage products.
The primary territory will include Medford and surrounding Southern Oregon markets, with account assignments based on market priorities and coverage needs.
Why Bevrise
Bevrise is expanding its Southern Oregon field organization to provide more frequent local account coverage, stronger account ownership, faster follow-up, measurable field activity, and greater focus on both protecting existing placements and winning new business.
We are investing in field technology, route planning, account visibility, and management support so representatives can spend more time in the market and less time on administrative work.
Our representatives have the opportunity to work directly with management, influence how territories are developed, and make a visible impact on the growth of the brands they represent.
If you know the Southern Oregon market, enjoy developing relationships, and want to turn those relationships into measurable growth, we would like to hear from you.
