This role is pivotal in transforming our rich datasets into actionable insights that optimize the customer experience, quantify the impact of new features/flavors, and enhance our partner-facing tools. The Senior Product Data Scientist will partner directly with Product, Design, and Engineering to drive data-backed product recommendations and decisions. We are seeking a Senior Product Data Scientist to join our high-performing Data & Analytics team. The Senior Product Data Scientist will partner directly with Product, Design, and Engineering to drive data-backed product recommendations and decisions. Your Day To Day
- Proactively identify opportunities within flavor consumption, UI, and partner web portal data to improve the user experience and drive business value.
- Develop a testing framework to balance analytical rigor with speed to insight, accounting for data challenges including indirect sales, long decision cycles, and intra-week variability.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to identify success metrics, define decision criteria, and evaluate new flavors, features, and experiences.
- Design, execute, and analyze A/B and quasi non-randomized tests to measure incremental impact on flavor consumption and user behavior.
- Build advanced analytics models such as machine flavor profile.
- Translate data and analytics into clear insights and recommendations.
- Build clear, informative dashboards and drive adoption to democratize product data.
- Partner with data engineering and software teams to ensure data quality, tagging, and instrumentation best practices.
- Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar quantitative field; Masters degree preferred
- 2-5 years of professional experience in product analytics, digital analytics, or data science.
- Proven hands-on experience in designing and analyzing experiments including different types of A/B testing methodologies, multivariate, hold out, difference in differences, propensity score matching, etc.
- Proven hands-on experience building applied data science models such as random forest, gradient boosting, clustering, ensemble, etc.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and R/Python for data querying, manipulation, and analysis.
- Experience with digital analytics platforms (eg Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
- Experience with data visualization tools (eg Looker, PowerBI, Hex, Grafana, DataDog).
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (eg Snowflake).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex findings to non-technical audiences.
