Role Description
This is a full time, on-site role located in Los Angeles, CA, for a FPV Drone Builder and CAD Design Engineer. The selected individual will be responsible for designing, constructing, programming, and troubleshooting FPV drones and drone components. Tasks will include developing CAD models for custom drone designs, 3D printing and assembling components, and conducting tests to ensure proper drone performance. Collaborating with the team on drone optimization for aerial cinematography projects will also be a key aspect of the role.
Qualifications
- Experience in FPV drone building, assembly, repair, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in CAD design software (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks) and 3D printing technology
- Knowledge of programming flight controllers and configuring software for FPV drones
- Understanding of drone components such as ESCs, motors, propellers, and transmitters
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for system optimization
- Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Prior experience in aerial cinematography or the film/entertainment industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, or related field preferred
