Position Title: *Bar Star*-Bevelry and Cahoots Bar
Position Summary:
Please only apply if you have at least 2-3 years of solid BARTENDING experience.
Bevelry and Cahoots Bar is located inside of Stock Grain Assembly Food Hall in Downtown High Point. It boasts a trendy aesthetic and features several local craft beers, classic cocktails, and neighborhood favorites. Bevelry Bar has programming five days out of the week and is located inside at the front of the food hall. Cahoots is a cozy outdoor bar that overlooks Truist Point Stadium that is open seasonally. Our team members are passionate about food & beverage, innovation and collaboration. We are seeking enthusiastic Bar Stars to provide an excellent guest experience. Our Bar Stars will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customer’s needs and expectations. Ensuring guest satisfaction and creating a memorable experience that will keep them coming back. A strong passion for beverage excellence and intimate knowledge of systems, methods, and processes that contribute to its execution a strong plus in consideration. Objectives: Provide excellent customer service, team supervision, and community collaboration to create a memorable customer experience and a positive workplace culture.
As a Bar Star you will :
- Participate in day-to-day operations of the bar, including following opening/ closing procedures, understanding programming, and communicating effectively and consistently with the rest of the team.
- Understand and uphold our brand including our policies, procedures, recipes, and hospitality standards
· Check daily paperwork and 7Shifts notes for events information
- Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar patrons
- Arrive each day in your uniform with a positive attitude and ready to serve
- Interact with customers, taking orders, and serving drinks
- Execute high standards of beverage quality
- Proactively seek opportunities to train on our recipes and menu
- Assess bar customer’s needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Find opportunities to upsell
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Show a positive attitude and strong work ethic with the mentality of a team player
- Check customer’s identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Complete all side work as assigned
- Accurately record and account for all items ordered and secure payment from guest
- Comply with all alcoholic beverage regulations
- Understand and engage with our Toast POS
- Extensive knowledge of beer, wine and spirits is a BIG plus
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Must be passionate about the restaurant and hospitality industry with a willingness to learn
· Minimum two to three years of bartending experience in restaurants and/or bars
· Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule of night, days, weekends and holidays
· Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean
· Trustworthy and reliable
· Basic math and computer skills
· Be 21 years of age
· Be able to communicate and understand English very well.
Compensation:
· Competitive pay based on experience
