Location: Houston, TX (Channelview area)
Amount of Travel Required: 30%
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring the longevity and dependability of products, systems, or processes by identifying potential issues, analyzing failure modes, and implementing solutions to enhance performance and minimize downtime. The primary goal of a Reliability Engineer is to ensure that products meet both safety and performance standards throughout their lifecycle, from design through production to end use. They use data-driven methods, risk assessments, and industry best practices to optimize system reliability, perform root cause analysis, and establish maintenance schedules to maximize asset uptime. This role typically involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and maintenance departments, to ensure reliability is integrated into all phases of the product lifecycle.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "May.")
· Design and implement reliability testing and monitoring procedures.
· Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
· Analyze product performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
· Conduct reliability analysis and risk assessments.
· Provide training to team members and other departments on reliability practices, tools, and methodologies to raise awareness and foster a culture of reliability across the organization.
· Identify opportunities for system upgrades or modifications to improve reliability, working with engineering teams to implement changes that enhance product longevity and performance.
· Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
· Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
· When on assignment at pad site, daily overtime required and in-person, predictable attendance.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
· High School diploma required.
· At least 7 years of power plant or manufacturing experience.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES:
· Able to communicate in a technical manner with clients.
· Ability to work within a team concept to successfully complete assigned tasks.
· Ability to take instruction well and interact with other employees in a positive manner within the framework of assigned work groups.
· Efficient at Microsoft office (word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook)
