We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Intern to join our Logistic Systems (LS) engineering team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to mechanical system design, layout development, and engineering support activities while contributing to real-world automation and material handling projects.
The selected candidate will support initiatives related to mechanical design, system layouts, CAD modeling, and cross-functional coordination with electrical, controls, and project teams. This role offers meaningful project involvement, technical development opportunities, and potential for full-time employment upon graduation.

Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Design & Engineering Support
- Develop and update mechanical system layouts using 2D and 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidEdge preferred).
- Create and maintain mechanical design documentation including drawings and BOMs.
- Support conceptual layouts, equipment sizing, and system configuration.
- Assist with design reviews and revision tracking.
- Support development of engineering tools such as costing models and Excel trackers.
- Maintain design templates and standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency and workflows.
- Assist in gathering project requirements.
- Support scheduling and tracking of design deliverables.
- Coordinate with Systems, Controls, and Project teams.
- Support preparation of design packages for fabrication.
- Assist with field feedback and design validation.
- Help track integration milestones.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Systems, or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidEdge, or similar).
- Strong Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with real-world mechanical design projects.
- Exposure to system design and integration.
