CDL Tanker and Distributer Truck Driver
Primary Function
The Class A or B Truck Driver is responsible for operating a commercial heavy truck on public roadways and on the construction jobsite in a safe and efficient manner. Commercial heavy trucks include Water Trucks and Tack Distributor Trucks. The Truck Driver will complete pre-trip checks, assist with fluid checks and maintenance, secure loads, cleaning, and other duties as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operating commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy and FMCSA guidelines.
- Performing daily maintenance and pre-trip checks.
- Responsible for cleaning trucks and material from trailer with the use hand and power tools.
- Ensuring that the truck is secured at the end of the shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
- Routinely enter and exit truck.
- Use ladder on trailer or platform to enter trailer and remove excess material.
- Chip or jackhammer concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials that have accumulated on the sides and front of trailer.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A or B CDL.
- Must have a Tanker Endorsement.
- Must have a valid DOT Medical Certificate.
- Must have a good driving record with no major violations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to complete a pre-employment and random drug screens with “Negative” results.
- Must be able to complete a post-offer physical with a “Capable” result.
