We partner with leading processors and technology providers to deliver smarter payment solutions to restaurants, retailers, and service businesses across the country.

We’re expanding our Northeast team and looking for motivated Independent Sales Representatives ready to build their own portfolio, earn uncapped commissions, and grow recurring income for years to come.

 

At Betterpay, you don’t just sell — you build equity in your own book of business. Every merchant you sign becomes part of your portfolio, paying you monthly residuals long after the initial sale.

About This Role

This is an Independent Contractor (1099) position with no base salary. It includes an upfront activation bonus, a high residual income split, and requires self-prospecting, face-to-face meetings at business locations, and building your own pipeline.

 

This is not just another sales job. As a Betterpay Sales Representative, you’ll operate like an entrepreneur — prospecting businesses, building a portfolio of accounts, and creating long-term residual income. Every client you bring in becomes part of your book of business, generating recurring earnings while you continue to grow.

 

You’ll have full control of your pipeline, schedule, and earnings — backed by Betterpay’s training, CRM tools, marketing assets, and dedicated relationship managers. You’ll have the freedom of a business owner with the backing of a team that equips you to win.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Betterpay Sales Rep, you’ll:

  • Identify and prospect small to mid-sized businesses (restaurants, retail, professional services, etc.)
  • Deliver engaging presentations on Betterpay’s payment, POS, and gateway solutions
  • Lead the full entrepreneurial sales cycle: cold/warm outreach → demo → negotiation → close → onboarding → portfolio growth
  • Build and protect your own book of business — a portfolio of accounts that generates long-term monthly residuals
  • Manage your territory like an entrepreneur: set your strategy, drive your pipeline, and maximize your earnings
  • Collaborate with product specialists, relationship managers, and marketing to maximize client success and new revenue opportunities

 

Who We’re Looking For

  • 1 years proven field sales B2B experience (closing deals in the door)
  • Proven track record of developing sales pipelines, generating new business and exceeding sales targets.
  • Comfortable prospecting, knocking doors / face-to-face sales, cold / warm calling
  • Strong presentation & relationship skills; persuasive, tenacious, self-starter
  • Goal-driven and resilient — you view challenges as opportunities

 

Nice-to-haves:

  • B2B Sales experience
  • Merchant Services Sales experience
  • Experience with POS / payment solutions or SaaS

Compensation

​This is a 1099 independent sales position — meaning your earnings are driven by your results, not capped by a salary. If you’re motivated and entrepreneurial, the upside is significant.

  • Realistic earnings potential: $50,000 – $150,000 annually, depending on your drive and portfolio size
  • Benefits included: health, and dental to qualified Sales Reps to support your long-term success — unlike most commission-only 1099 roles.

 

​Your compensation is made out of:

  • Uncapped commissions on every client.
  • Upfront activation bonuses for each new account you close.
  • Lifetime residuals — recurring monthly income from every account you sign.
