We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Caregiver to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts
- Monitor and document vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature
- Observe patients closely for changes in condition and report findings promptly to nursing staff or supervisors
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding to ensure nutritional needs are met in home or community settings
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment for residents or clients
- Document records accurately and thoroughly in electronic systems to ensure continuity of care
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disabilities
Skills
- Strong patient observation skills to detect subtle changes in health status
- Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments
- Knowledge of assisting with ADLs and providing comprehensive senior care or hospice support
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and first aid required; additional certifications such as dementia or Alzheimer's care are a plus
- Ability to operate medical equipment like Hoyer lifts, blood pressure cuffs and thermometers
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges preferred
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines
- Flexibility to work various shifts including live-in arrangements if needed
