We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control Specialist to support our Product Development and Quality teams. This role will be responsible for managing product specifications for raw materials and finished goods, and overseeing the change control process across multiple production locations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring documentation integrity, version control, and compliance with internal procedures and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specification Management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to draft, review, and maintain specifications for raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods.
- Change Control Management
- Manage the change order process, including routing, tracking, and final approval of specification and process changes.
- Maintain a clear and auditable history of document revisions across multiple production facilities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (QA, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Legal) to implement changes effectively and timely.
- Document Control & Compliance
- Maintain document control systems and databases for all product-related specifications and quality documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and applicable industry regulations.
- Support audits and inspections by providing accurate documentation as requested.
- Communication & Training
- Communicate changes and updates to relevant departments and production sites.
- Provide training or guidance to teams on document control procedures when necessary.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical, scientific, or business-related field.
- 2 years of experience in document control, quality assurance, or product development support (CPG, food, supplements, or pharmaceutical industry preferred).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with document control software or the following systems: ECI Deacom, Monday.com, Dropbox.xom, Ziflow etc.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing documentation for products manufactured at multiple sites.
- Knowledge of FDA, USDA, or other regulatory requirements for product documentation.
- Background in food science, nutrition, or a related field.
