Delivery Driver: Home and Business Packages

Paid Training to learn a valuable skill; get certified to drive a DOT vehicle delivering FedEx packages!!!

Upon Training Completion; Gross Earnings Range based on ability to operate certain vehicles and perform on various routes is $38,000 to $60,000 per year

Better Logistics Inc and Final Mile Logistics are an Independent Contract Service Provider responsible to plan and coordinate the delivery of packages for FedEx home delivery and business delivery.

SEEKING FULL AND PART-TIME WORKERS: Driver Position to deliver FedEx packages

REPORTING LOCATION: Load from FedEx terminal in Westover located above Rural King.

SERVICE AREA; Morgantown, Cheat Lake, Point Marion, WV, Point Marion, PA and Lake Lynn, PA

GREAT SCHEDULES: 1 to 5 day schedules, there are some 6th day availability for those that want extra earnings.

Work Hours: Vary Slightly by day of week due to package volume

Start Time between 8:00 and 8:30 AM

Finish between 5:00 and 6:00 PM

Our contract requires delivering from Monday to Saturday. Although Saturday is a smaller crew, there will be some Saturday work required on a rotation

Expanded schedule for Holiday Season does require scheduling Monday to Sunday from the week prior to Thanksgiving week to Christmas Eve. Please note there can be expanded temporary schedules to cover 6 days some weeks during that “Peak” season as we are helpers to “Santa Claus “.

Paid Training: $16.00 to $17.00 per hour based on previous experience. There is a process to learn operations, which takes typically 2-3 weeks depending on prior experience and ability to absorb training.

Upon Completion of Training: Hourly Wage increases based on ability to operate certain truck size and route size. Wages for lower volume routes range from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Elite performance with potential pay up to $28.00 per hour based on ability to perform certain high volume routes efficiently.

BENEFITS: Must work 30 hours per week to qualify for Health Insurance, Vision and Dental Plans (Employer is presently paying 50% of health insurance policy)

Employer is paying 100% of the following benefits: Life Insurance Policy, Short Term Disability and AD&D policy.

Shoe Allowance: up to $100 per pair

Paid Time Off: 12 Days per calendar year for full time employees

Package Delivery Drivers are responsible to deliver packages to homes and businesses in a safe, efficient and professional manner.

Prefer Drivers to have 1 year of driving experience in the past 3 years but there is a training program for drivers with less than 1 year of experience. Driving experience does not have to be in package delivery; other experience such as food delivery, medicine, parts, ice, water, etc is acceptable.

In addition, driving as part of your job is considered experience. For example; This can be a person that has to drive from job site to job site even though they are not delivering anything.

Skills required to be successful include ability to safely drive trucks and work in various weather conditions, highly organized, ability to follow directions, communicate effectively to management and customers, attention to detail, follow work protocols and be highly motivated to complete all tasks on a daily basis.

Previous Knowledge of route locations is a plus but not required, we provide training and utilize an IPad based routing system.

Please be aware this is work can be in challenging conditions at certain times of the year.

Weather Conditions can be hot, cold, snowy, icy, windy and wet. You need to be able to come to work during bad weather in the winter.

Physical Capabilities: “THIS IS A PHYSICAL OCCUPATION“ and have the ability to get in and out of vehicle many times per hour and carrying package to proper location. Each route can vary and stops per day can range from 100 to 175 depending on time of year and route density. Please note that a small percentage of packages can weigh up to 150 pounds before it becomes a freight package. Employee must have the ability to maneuver package via dolly, cart, sled push, end to end walking. Part of the training process is directed at handling these packages to prevent employee injury

Initial Requirements for Drivers: Must be 21, have a good driving history as 5-year MVR review will be performed, 10-year Back Ground Check will be performed, pre-employment and random drug testing, must be able to pass a DOT physical. A Class D License is required which is just a fee to the DMV to upgrade a Class E License.

Requirements for Driver Assistants: Must be over 18 and pass 10-year Back Ground Check.

Education: High School or Equivalent

Pay: $16.00 - $28.00 per hour
