Job Summary
Better Life ADHC is seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to assist participants with personal care, daily activities, mobility, meals, and social engagement. The Caregiver helps maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment while promoting each participant’s dignity and independence.
Duties
- Assist participants with toileting, grooming, dressing, eating, and personal hygiene.
- Help with walking, transfers, positioning, and wheelchair mobility.
- Monitor participants and report changes in condition, behavior, or mood.
- Assist with meals, snacks, hydration, and feeding as needed.
- Support recreational, educational, and social activities.
- Provide companionship and respectful interaction.
- Follow care plans, safety procedures, and staff instructions.
- Document services, observations, and incidents accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
- Follow confidentiality, infection-control, and participant-rights requirements.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and notify the nurse or supervisor.
- Complete other caregiving duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous caregiving or healthcare experience preferred.
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to maintain participant confidentiality.
- Must complete required background checks, screenings, and training.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or must be obtained.
- Able to assist with transfers, mobility, and other physical caregiving duties.
- Must meet applicable Kentucky employment and regulatory requirements.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
