In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a sanitary environment by performing industrial cleaning tasks, handling chemical agents safely, and adhering to strict sanitation protocols. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of production areas, warehouses, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures and wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Use industrial cleaning tools and machinery to remove debris, spills, and residues effectively.
- Maintain sanitation standards in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and industry regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and identify areas requiring additional attention or maintenance.
- Follow respiratory protection protocols when working with hazardous chemicals or in environments requiring respiratory safety measures.
- Assist with waste disposal, sanitation documentation, and ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial work, custodial services, or industrial cleaning environments.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling and chemical handling safety procedures.
- Experience working in food production, manufacturing, or food processing facilities is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with GMP standards, commercial cleaning practices, and warehouse operations.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high sanitation standards.
- Ability to follow safety protocols rigorously and work effectively as part of a team.
