What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solar Roof Lead position at Better Earth?
Salary: $27-30As a Roof Lead your responsibilities are to assemble, install, and/or maintain/service solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in accordance with design plans, as well as help lead crews. May include but are not limited to; measuring, cutting, attaching, and assembling structural framing (racking systems), solar modules and other necessary components to complete a solar installation.Positions will help:Structurally mount racking and electrical equipment and effectively seal all penetrationsMaintain a clean worksite and safe working environmentProperly use Personal Protective EquipmentOccasional travel from time to timeAttend mandatory training sessions regarding new products, installation methodology, and safety requirements.Other duties as may be assigned from time to timeRequirementsElectrical experience and solar experience REQUIREDMUST have at least 1 year of experience as Roof LeadAbility to lift, pull, and push equipment and materials to complete assigned job tasksMust be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops, and able to work on your feet for long periods of timeAbility to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workdayGreat attention to detailAbility to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces, etc.)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsRegular, reliable, and predictable attendanceAbility to work well with others in a collaborative team environmentMUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGEMust have a valid state driver's licenseMust have a clean driving recordBenefitsFull Benefits PackageHealth InsuranceDentalVisionLife InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Holidays401KCompensation:$27 - $30 depending on experienceBiannual percent increases based on quality and safety.
