Role Description
This full-time, on-site Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) role is based in Charlotte, NC. In this position, you will provide individual and group counseling services to older adults in senior living communities. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, creating personalized treatment plans, offering therapy sessions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care. You will play an active role in supporting mental health education and promoting resources aimed at improving emotional well-being and resilience among clients.
Qualifications
- Clinical counseling skills, including assessment, treatment planning, and psychotherapy
- Experience in providing mental health support for older adults or within senior living communities
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative team-working abilities
- Active LCMHC licensure in the state of North Carolina
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential client records
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and cultural competence in diverse settings
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health discipline
- Knowledge of senior mental health challenges, such as dementia, depression, or anxiety, is preferred
