About the Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Sonographer specializing in women’s health. This position performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound exams—primarily in obstetrics and gynecology—to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring maternal and fetal conditions. The ideal candidate brings both technical excellence and a patient-centered approach to every scan.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
- Independently perform and document OB/GYN and pelvic exams with precision and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to ensure accurate interpretation and optimal patient care.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment, supplies, and sterile technique in accordance with departmental standards.
- Support training and mentoring of students or new staff members as needed.
- Prioritize patient comfort, confidentiality, and safety throughout all procedures.
- Adhere to all infection-control, HIPAA, and professional practice guidelines.
Qualifications
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARDMS OB/GYN certification required.
- Minimum 6 months of independent scanning experience beyond clinical rotations (including OB/GYN).
Preferred
- Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) experience.
- Demonstrated critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities while scanning.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset.
