JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a versatile and experienced Human Resources Generalist to lead and execute all aspects of HR operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who can balance people initiatives with day-to-day HR administration. The HR Generalist will support leadership and staff across a wide range of functions including employee relations, performance management, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee relations matters
- Manage performance management processes, including coaching, feedback, and improvement plans
- Handle employee concerns, investigations, and disciplinary actions
- Support managers in building strong, accountable teams
- HR Operations & Administration
- Complete payroll processing and ensure accuracy and compliance
- Maintain employee records and HR systems (HRIS)
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures
- Benefits & Compensation
- Administer employee benefits programs including health, retirement, and ancillary benefits
- Lead open enrollment processes and employee education
- Evaluate and recommend benefit plan design improvements
- Support compensation benchmarking and salary structure development
- Talent & Organizational Development
- Support recruitment and onboarding processes as needed
- Develop onboarding and employee engagement initiatives
- Identify training and development needs across the organization
- Assist leadership with organizational planning and workforce strategy
- Support offboarding processes as needed
- Culture & Engagement
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Support internal communications related to HR programs
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist role
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience with payroll systems and benefits administration
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred
