Job description:
Better Beginnings Healthcare Services is searching for an amazingly talented, Professional Nurse (RN/LPN) to provide routine, 1:1 nursing care to an adolescent male. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference while working in a supportive and family-centered environment.
Experience working with the pediatric demographic is preferred.
Up to 56 hours available (Day/Evening Shifts)
Weekend availability preferred
Job Types: Contract 1099 (Full-time, Part-time, PRN)
Pay: 35.00-$50.00 per hour-PAID WEEKLY
Responsibilities
Perform one-on-one direct nursing care to clients in their homes. Duties including but are not limited to the following:
- Comprehensive assessments of client's body systems, needs and changes.
- Record and monitor vital signs.
- Report changes in client's condition to supervising personnel and physicians as needed.
- Seizure monitoring, intervention and documentation.
- External device care such as G-tubes, and implanted infusion pumps.
- Administer medications and feedings via g-tube.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, eating, daily exercise/ROM, etc.
- Assist with medical equipment in the home setting.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Provide ongoing and effective healthcare education to clients and families.
- Adhere to all confidentiality, safety and professional nursing standards.
Qualifications
- Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered nursing license (RN) in the state of GA or Multistate Compact License.
- Current CPR/BLS certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association.
- TB skin test (current within the last 12 months).
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Caring and compassionate personality.
- Ability to build rapport with clients & families.
- Must have reliable transportation.
